Potters Bar United Football Club was founded in 1975 principally to provide football for young people of Potters Bar and the surrounding areas.
The Club is run by League and Social Secretary Paul Viala, Treasurer Giulia Cattini - Moorcraft, Club Secretary Amanda Bidwell and the two people at the elm of the Club is Chairman Eamon Dempsey and Vice-Chairman Dave Lennon. And their are other members on the committee who also help to make sure the club runs smoothly.
Currently affiliated to the Hertfordshire FA and the Amateur Football Alliance, Potters Bar United was awarded Charter Standard status in 2005 by the FA.
There are between one and three teams at every age group from under sevens up to under eighteens who play in the Rural Friendly League, Mid Herts Rural Minors League and the Watford Friendly League.
In 2000/01 season the Club had success with the U12s being the first Potters Bar United team to win the Herts County Cup and this season our Under 13 Stripes where triumph in winning.
The Club boasts truly outstanding playing and hospitality facilities with home matches played at Old Owens Sports Ground in Coopers Lane, Potters Bar and where the players are encouraged and coached to play passing and attractive football.
The Club also has a good facilities at their other grounds at Little Health and Oakmere School.
